Day 1: “From Airport to Vlore”

 

You will arrive at Tirana International Airport “Nene Tereza” where our agent is waiting to hand over the car and the Albanian sim-card so you can start your holidays.   

Depending on the time you arrive at TIA Airport, from Rinas to Vlore you can stop in Divjaka, lagoon of Karavasta.  

The Lagoon of Karavasta is a beautiful natural area located in Divjake, Albania. It is known for its stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and as a haven for birdwatching enthusiasts. The lagoon is home to a wide variety of bird species, by taking a boat tour you will have a fantastic experience.  

It's a great way to explore the lagoon, enjoy the scenic views, and get closer to the rich wildlife, and the rare Dalmatian pelican.

In the evening you can enjoy a walk in ‘Lungomare (seaside walk)’, Vlore.


Day 2: “Grand Tour National Park of Karaburun Peninsula & Grama Bay


The most requested excursion in the last 3 years in Vlora. 

Duration 7-8 hours via a speedboat. 

It is an excursion that gives travelers the opportunity to visit and enjoy all the fascinating places along the Karaburun peninsula with the last destination being Grama Bay. 

We leave from Vlora at 10:30 a.m.  

Let's visit: 

       - Cave of Haxhi Alise 

       - Dafina's bosom 

       - Bear's Bay 

       - Cave of Dafina 

       - Secret blue cave            

       - Englishman's Bay 

       - Fifth floor beach 

       - Nexhaj Bay 

       - Grama Bay 

We stop at all the places mentioned above and stay for about 30 minutes at each stop and the vacationers go to the beach along the entire route. We stay for 60 to 90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours) in the bay of Grama. 

Day 3 in Vlora:


In the morning you will have a smart guided tour of what you must see in the city (Old town, museums, the Flag’s square, and many more).

In the evening you can visit Zvernec St. Mary Monastery to enjoy the beautiful sunset and check out the surrounding areas.


Day 4: “ The Albanian Riviera”

 

Leaving Vlora for the beautiful city of Saranda there are a few places you can visit along the way.  

On the way you will enjoy all the beauties that the Albanian coast offers, giving you the opportunity to stop in the most popular areas such as: 

  • Llogara National Park - It's a beautiful park located in the Ceraunian Mountains, offering stunning views of the Albanian
    Riviera.                  
  • Dhermi Village - is a charming coastal village in Albania, known for its beautiful beaches and laid-back atmosphere. It's a
    popular destination for beach lovers and those seeking a relaxing getaway. You can soak up the sun, swim in the crystal-clear waters, and enjoy the stunning views of the Ionian Sea. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
    You can stop at Zoe Hora Bar-restaurant known for most Instagram place. 
  • Vuno - is a small village located in the Albanian Riviera, not far from Dhermi. It's known for its picturesque setting, nestled among olive groves and offering stunning views of the coastline. The village has a relaxed and traditional atmosphere, with stone houses and narrow streets. It's a great place to experience the local culture and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. If you're in the region, consider visiting Vuno for a peaceful and authentic experience. 
  • Himara - is a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich history. You can
    explore the ancient ruins of Himara Castle, relax on the sandy beaches, and indulge in delicious seafood. 
  • Porto Palermo - It is famous for its picturesque bay and the historic Ali Pasha Castle, which sits on a small island just off
    the coast. The castle offers a fascinating glimpse into the region's history and provides panoramic views of the surrounding area. It's a great place to visit if you're interested in history and enjoy beautiful coastal scenery. 
  • Castle of Borsh – Known as Sopoti Castle, dates back to the 4th century and offers a glimpse into the rich history of the region. Exploring the castle's ruins is like stepping back in time, with its ancient walls and towers. From the top of the castle, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the beautiful coastline. It's a great place to learn about the history of the area and capture some amazing photos. If you're a fan of history and architecture, the Castle of Borsh is definitely worth a visit! 

       Sarande


Accommodation in the hotel and dining at Lekursi Castle it's a must-visit attraction when you're in the area. This castle offers breathtaking panoramic views of Sarande and the Ionian Sea and enjoy a meal or a drink at the castle's restaurant while taking in the stunning scenery. It's a perfect spot to watch the sunset and create some memorable moments.

Day 5: “Ksamil and Butrint“


Beach day from Saranda to Ksamil, located in southern Albania, near Sarande. Ksamil is known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches.

It's like a hidden gem along the Albanian Riviera. You can relax on the beach, swim in the refreshing waters, and even explore the nearby islands by boat. 

In the evening visit  Butrint, located in Sarande, is a fascinating archaeological site that showcases the rich history of the region. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a glimpse into ancient civilizations. Exploring Butrint is like stepping back in time! 

Day 6: “Blue Eye and Gjirokaster”

 

In the way from Saranda to Gjirokaster you will have to visit “ Blue Eye”.

It's an enchanting natural phenomenon located near Sarandë in southern Albania. The Blue Eye is a mesmerizing spring that creates a beautiful and vibrant blue pool of water. It's like stepping into a magical oasis with its crystal-clear waters and lush green surroundings. The depth of the pool is still unknown, adding to its mysterious allure. It's definitely a must-visit if you're in the area and want to witness the stunning beauty of nature. 

Accommodation in hotel in Gjirokaster.

Gjirokaster is indeed a UNESCO World Heritage Site! It's recognized for its well-preserved Ottoman-era buildings and its unique architectural charm.

You will visit:

  • “Gjirokaster Castle”  Which offers stunning views of the city and
    houses.
  • “ Weapons Museum”

Inside Gjirokastra Castle you will visit Weapons Museum.

It contains materials that present the development of weapons in Albania from ancient time to the present day.

There are a large number of weapons and military equipment from the first and second World Wars.                                                                   

  • “Old Bazaar”  Where you can find traditional crafts and local products.
  • Ismail Kadare House”

Ismail Kadare is a renowned Albanian author, and his house in Gjirokaster has been turned into a museum dedicated to his life and works. You can explore the rooms where he wrote his famous novels and learn more about his literary legacy.

Day 7 “Thank you and Goodbye”

 

We have come to our last day of this outstanding adventure, where we have to say goodbye to beautiful Albania. We drive from Gjirokastër to Tirana International airport where we drop off the car at one of the agents.
